Theater has always been a basic part of the Houston community and essential to the expression and nurturing of children, individuals, families and community. Live drama challenges, entertains, enriches, comforts and inspires. It is one of the few forms of entertainment where a story is told and the details are still left up to the imagination of the audience.
The realities of our current economic conditions are serious. Yet, we are aware of the importance of theater for our lives, families and communities. Theater has, does, and always will inspire and enhance the quality of life for everyone in our community. With your support, A. D. Players can continue to serve and enrich our community and promote its cultural growth and vitality.
As we begin the public funding phase of our “Celebrate the Adventure” Capital Campaign for the construction of the Lorraine M. George Theater, we are proud to say that theater inspires and enhances the quality of life for everyone in our community. With your support, A. D. Players can continue to serve and enrich our community and promote its cultural growth.
Founded in 1966 by Jeannette Clift George, A. D. Players, annually serves more than 100,000 children and adults through the positive, life-affirming force of our programming. For over 40 years we have served the Houston community with theater that uplifts, inspires, and energizes.
Your support is critical to helping us serve our community. Please click on the links to the left for information about how you can help us. On behalf of the children, families and communities to be served, thank you!
